Highlights

Workshop - Attracting, Retaining and Developing Skilled Agricultural Staff

A free workshop will be held for farmers in the Narrabri area focusing on one of agriculture's most critical aspects - attracting, retaining, and developing skilled agricultural staff.
Hosted by the Farm Business Resilience Program it will feature six expert speakers who will share invaluable insights and strategies to help farmers attract and retain a high-performing team.
The speaker line-up includes;

  • Michelle Sleeth, Agri Labour Australia
  • Garry Fry, Regional Development Australia
  • Craig Duncan, Australian Food & Fibre
  • Bede Maher from Training Services NSW, and
  • Adam Tomlinson from the NSW Rural Assistance Authority (RAA).

Tour - CSIRO Cottonseed Processing Facility

Modern, fit for purpose research infrastructure provides the foundation for delivering new improved varieties to industry. Learn about the process of ginning cotton, fibre quality assessment and the provision of new varieties to industry.

Displays - Soil and Water exhibit

Find the place where you can get all the dirt! View soil monoliths, witness soil and water properties in action with a range of sensors and learn about different soil types by running ribbons of mud through your fingers. It’s your chance to get a little messy and find out about DPI’s Soil & Water Research.
