Floods and storms adversely effect communities including primary producers and animal carers. The State Emergency Service (SES) has a responsibility to ensure that communities throughout the state are adequately prepared to reduce the impact of these events. The department assists SES to prepare communities for these events to reduce the damage, loss and costs associated with floods and storms.
Primary producers, people responsible for animals and community members should prepare for floods and storms before they occur, know what to do during and be aware of support and activities after an emergency.
