Rainfall Index (RI)

Rainfall Index responded to autumn rainfall

  • May rain events have seen good improvements in the RI, particularly in areas receiving high rainfall totals following on from April.
  • Continued rainfall throughout winter will help maintain or improve conditions across NSW.
  • NSW DPI is closely monitoring areas in the Riverina and Murray LLS Regions where a declining trend is evident in the RI.
